A spoonful of musings

Whether you always notice it or not, whether its tough or easy, wherever you are and whatever you do - your life is your masterpiece. Your life and what you do with the time you have is the tapestry that you create with the window of time you get in this ever-changing, absolutely crazy, totally marvellous world. 

1. Get creative. Do what you can with what you have, wherever you are. Your time, habits, energy should all be invested in what matters to you and you control that, so give up making excuses and start taking action. You can make anything happen and that is just a damn fact. 

2. Notice more. It really doesn't matter what energy other people are putting out there, thats not the point, you just gotta make sure the energy you are putting into the world is the best kind of energy. Notice the small things, marvel at them, the world around you can be pretty cool. 

3. Question things. I love this line by Socrates that explains how "an unexamined life is not worth living", its absolutely true. Question yourself frequently to better understand who you are, where you are going and what you need to change in order to be the best you. There is self-developmental power in reflection and by constant questioning, there is greater understanding and in turn, greater self-improvement. 

4. Do more of what you love. I guess a lot of 'knowing what you love' comes from knowing yourself, so try and think about what makes you happy and then incorporate as much of that in your daily habits. Immerse yourself and life will feel like a really good dream come true.

5. Listen more. Everyone and everything around you will teach you something valuable. Experiences, challenges, the good times, literally everything. All the people you know, meet, pass, everyone can tell you something that can provide you with food for thought, inspiration, knowledge or a lesson. Always try to be present in your conversations and listen more while speaking less.  

Life is fleeting, make it as wonderful as you want.
